What is LNP and why does it matter?
Local Number Portability (LNP) allows phone subscribers to keep their number when switching carriers. For every call your network routes, an LNP dip determines which carrier currently owns the dialed number — and therefore where to send the call.
An incorrect or slow LNP lookup means misrouted calls, failed connections, and wasted termination spend. At high call volumes, even a few microseconds of additional latency compounds into real cost.
