proleneä's Loop Inhibit product smartly detects loops
and stops them.
Looping calls consume network and processor resources. In VoIP networks, this problem
is exacerbated. In a pure circuit-switched environment, routing loops eventually
consume all available channels and the call begins to clear, but when the call signaling
protocol is traveling over a virtual connection, calls can loop indefinitely.
How does it work ?
Your network sends a query to proleneä for each call.
proleneä then responds with a message notifying you if the call is a loop or not.
This first occurance of an actual loop will trigger a "loop detected" response from us.
Most of our customers use the Loop Inhibit service in conjunction with our LNP solution.
